CALLING FOR CHANGE

Hi! I am Sharika and I live in the Bay Area. Ever since I was a little kid, I've loved animals, and my love for them has only grown stronger over the years, especially for dogs. Whenever I visit my family in India, all I do all day is pet and feed stray dogs, even though my mom tells me not to.

When I'm not hanging out with dogs, you can find me playing guitar, both acoustic and electric, while singing (Adele, The Cranberries, Ed Sheeren, and more). I also love reading (teen mystery books like - A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder and One of us is lying), playing volleyball, or volunteering at the local animal shelter, SVACA.

When I first started researching getting a dog (I was 9), I stumbled upon some shocking data about animal cruelty. I was horrified to learn about the extent of abuse and neglect that animals, especially dogs, endure. The discovery ignited a passion in me to care for dogs and advocate for their protection.
